Michelle Ras from De Graaf Undercar Lydenburg, a MIWA member, sent in a community story that warmed our hearts and we hope will inspire you to get involved in local initiatives.

Last year they hijacked their local animal shelter’s, Home 4 Paws, bakkie. The owner was only aware that they were going to check the suspension and see what needed fixing. What they ended up doing was fit the bakkie with four new tyres, complete steering rack, wheel bearings, outer cv joints, and front shocks. They even teamed up with their local signage company and branded the vehicle with the shelter name and number.
The bakkie also got a clean and polish.

"The next day, we called her to say all was well and she could come and collect her bakkie. Even today we will haven't forgotten her response when she came to collect the bakkie. She actually almost walked past it. We are still maintaining it for her," wrote Michelle.
